Hey! Thank you, seems achates and Robret The Saxon can help!I am not sure about Mister Barista: shall I interpret your post as a "count on me, I'll help"? Let me know, if that's the case!
Please mates, keep coming, lets try to do it!
If you guys like, and if we decide to try the quest, we could go on a "per set" basis.
Every D&D miniature set has a visual gallery on wizards' site, like this for Harbinger (which is the 1st set):
https://www.wizards.com/dnd/Article.aspx?x=dnd/4new/harbinge...
For the Adventure System, we could use these images for the card arts, if you dont have better ideas.
Then, every set has a checklist on wizards' site:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ms/20030926a
where you can see wich miniatures are inside the set, and which rarity they have. Generally the more a mini is rare, the more is powerful.
So we could assume this mapping to speed up development:
- common monsters/evil characters -> common monster cards, not very powerful
- common good character -> ally card, nice to have but not very powerful
- uncommon mosters/evil characters -> common monster cards, but challenging ones (like cards found in the DC packs)
- uncommon good character -> ally card, quite helping
- rare monsters/evil characters -> Monster villain (square cardboard sheets) and Monster Big Villain (rectangle cardboard sheets)
- rare good characters -> Heroes (so need to do sheet cardboard and power cards)
We could decide - when starting each set - what is every miniature, and thgen share different "categories" among the volunteers. That is, obviously, if we find enough volunteers :)
For every miniaturem, we could have a look at the official DDM card that you can see at www.ddmguild.com for every set:
http://ddmguild.com/rules-and-cards
These rules belong to a different game - DDM - but they are tailored around 4th Edition D&D - like D&D AS boardgames - and thematically fit to every miniature. Getting some D&D AS tactics/powers from what you can read on the DDM card shouldnt be too hard, and you could feel that it still is the same miniature, just translated to another game. We could even get the modifiers +something directly from there.
Let me know about ideas, and keep coming!
