Session: Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game:: Just lost Daylight assault AGAIN!!!

I was so close this time, playing 5 heroes solo.

Had Arjhan on 7 hp, the rest on 1 hp except the cleric wich was on 2, and had 2 healing surges left. I had gathered 11 treasure cards, and had everyone but the dragonborn one tile away from the exit.

Plan was to exit them and let Arjhan search for the last treasure alone, confident that his remaining 7 hp and two healing surges were enough.

I activated arjhan as it was his turn, fighthing a kobold, wich i really needed to kill, as i had only 4 xp in my pool, and i needed the kobold's xp to be able to negate any bad encounters (the sun was already down)

I throw a bloody 1

Encounter comes up 'passage of time' and each hero takes 1 damage and i can't do anything against it.

So ranger,rogue and wizard are on 0 hp, and next up is the cleric. I use him to up the hp of the wizard by 1, but he has a gargoyle under his control wich attacks and puts him and the wizard down again

Next up is immeril wich uses the first surge, kills the gargoyle and goes for the exit.i draw another bad encounter, and use the xp from the gargoyle and 2 i already had to counter it.

NExt up is the rogue, she gets up with the second healing surge. She is next to alissa, so uses a healing potion on her to get her up.

So now I am at the edge of my seat as i take the next encounter.......


Fire trap.
With no way to avoid alissa takes 2 damage wich takes away what he just gained from the healing potion.

NExt up in line is allisa, but as there are no surges left, game is lost

So so close....

Giving it another go right away, immeril chose dispel now instead of shield, gives me one less nasty encounter at least
