So today I played again. First quest again with the fighter Dragonborn. I won yay.
I played it slower and took out monsters instead of letting them gang up. I also had to disarm an alarm trap to stop it escalating.
I did have a lot of luck with tile draw as I got many black triangles and managed the encounter cards ok, so the Vampire stayed asleep. At final turn there was still a space left on the time track.
I fought through a couple of rat swarms, couple of ghouls, zombie, skeleton, giant spider, gargoyle, couple of kobolds, couple of wolves. I did manage to level up too.
At game end I had 10 damage so nearly dead, but I hadnt used any heal surges so technically was pretty healthy.
Most of my treasure was rubbish though a heal was the exception.
Really enjoyed it. Good fun and interesting events, really played well.
I must admit that knowing tile-11would be the escape did affect my play towards the end as I did do a partial sprint for it, so that did affect things. The dungeon did look pretty great once 12 tiles were all out in play.
Great adventure.
Before I try out any of the other adventures I am going to replay this one but with a different hero (might try all 5 in turn) so I can really get the feel of other heroes abilities and play style. Im thinking Ranger next maybe.

Onwards :)
