Thread: Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game:: Rules:: Including Dungeon Command Cards + Balancing

So I've been playing Ravenloft solo with all 5 characters and have included all of the extra cards from the 5 Dungeon Command sets.

At first I just mixed everything together and started playing.

Later, I read a thread that talked about balancing the monster deck to include:

(x12)1 XP monsters
(x9) 2 XP monsters
(x6) 3 XP monsters
(x3) 4 XP monsters

= 30 monsters, so I separated them into individual stacks, shuffled them, took out the number of monsters listed above from each stack, and shuffled those together creating a 30 monster balanced stack.

However, even if I do that, the game still doesn't seem balanced because the chance of multiple monsters being out on the board at the same time (and thus activating at the same time) is diluted. I almost never have 2 of the same out at once, making the game easier then I think it should be.

Is there any "official" way to integrate the Dungeon Command cards into the D&D Adventure System games and keep the intended balance?
