1. if your asking about this game after playing one of the trilogy already you must like the game so that's a good thing
consider getting another set as an expansion that can be played standalone

2. I feel if you getting more more the same

more of the good stuff

A.1 the very cool models the Draco lich in this set is awesome and is probablty worth 1/2 the price alone, as are the skeletons and gargoyles and hero models and well all the rest

A.2 New villain cards to tackle

B as above have said the heros are weaker e.g @will powers with only +4 to hit, weak treasures that's are used on draw and if they don't help then are wasted

C it has a few unique missions the Hag one probably stands out the most
the rest tend to follow the survivor 9-13 tiles and fight a boss that make up the majority of all 3 games.

Summary
more of the same,
new monsters mostly, new villains, a few pretty "named" tiles, strong Undead theme, weaker heros if you like a challenge
